Description

PN G129.6+03.4 (IPHASX J015624.9+652830) is a planetary nebula located in Cassiopeia. It was discovered on images from the IPHAS (INT Photometric Hα Survey of the Northern Galactic Plane). This project began in 2003, with a systematic survey of the northern plane of the galaxy in Ha, using the Isaac Newton telescope in La Palma and the INT Wide Field Camera (WFC). In 2011 Sabin et al.  confirmed by spectroscopy that it was a planetary nebula. In 2013, the amateur astronomer Laurent Ferrero discovered it independently, which iit is known as Ferrero 6 (Fe 6). It is very faint, of a regular spherical shape, with a bright edge and a clearly visible bluish central star. It has reddish marks inside. I have observed in my image and that of other amateurs the apparent presence of a second internal disk. Fe 6 is probably an ancient planetary nebula, interacting with the interstellar medium. I set out to photograph it as a long challenge for the autumn, but the conditions were good and in eleven nights I was able to get 23 hours in HII, 23 hours 35' in OIII and 1 hour 41' in RGB.
